Christmas Eve at the Halls
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve Papa, NeeNee and the whole gang came over for dinner and presents. We had a great time having everyone here and not having to pack up & go out. Makalei played Santa and passed out all the gifts. She was so proud to give Papa the gumball machine she bought him at school..complete with the last 3 gumballs she didn't already eat! Lilah slept through most of the fun but woke up in time to FINALLY be able to open her very first Christmas gifts!
She got an awesome Jack-In-The Box that she loved but her favorite toy of the night was yet to come...
Makalei left Santa some milk & cookies and a note explaining that she is starting not to believe.
Lilahs most favorite toy of the night was this push toy from NeeNee & Papa
Sorry for the crummy video, this was pre-Flip :)

Breakfast with Santa
Since Makalei was born (and actually years before!) we have always gone to a "breakfast with Santa" event. This was Lilahs first experience. While she loved the "breakfast" part (2 pancakes and 2 sausage later!), she was not too keen on the Santa. Sissy had to sit with him too to convince her he wasn't so bad.
Oh the anticipation
In the beginning, Lilah could have cared less about the presents under the tree. She was more entranced by the ornaments and colored balls hanging from the tree. But then this package arrived from Aunt Judy. Its shiny red F.A.O Shwartz paper and silky white ribbon were too much temptation for here. Every chance she got she would dive under the tree and attack!
Yes Virginia..
Makalei joined her fellow pageant queens at the nursing home to spread some holiday cheer. She began by reading Virginias letter from "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"
Then passed out holiday cards to all the guests
and sang Christmas carols to everyone
It was a great day and Makalei is now anxiously awaiting our next visit
