Sweet Feet

Lilah is just starting to realize she has this great invention called FEET!
Unfortunately because of the issues with her toes, we have to keep socks on her as much as possible..so at least she is stylish!

It was like winning the lottery...

Not sure if it was spending the afternoon partying with Papa or if it was just Mom & Dads luck but Lilah slept a full NINE hours straight last night!!! WOOHOOO! I think Daddy might have sealed the deal when he fed her 6 more anounces of formula 2 hours after I did.. so 12 ounces in 2 hours must have filled her up enough to sleep soundly until Daddy got up for work!

Time with papa

Lilah was enjoying some time with her Papa..she always knows just how to make him smile! Papa made sure to announce that this feeding was his first since Dew was born 23 years ago!

oh and check out her little mary jane socks! they finally fit..compliments of my friends on the Naartjie Board. LOVE THEM!

The Hair Club For Babies

While we were visiting at NeeNee & Papas, Papa decided thet Lilah needed to update her "doo" so he let her borrow NeeNees porcelain dolls wig. A perfect fit lol

Ms Jellystone 2008!

Now a lot of preparation went into finding just the right costume...

we borrowed a moo-moo and a bra from the neighbors and

shopped for make-up, pantyhose and accessories!

Now isnt she the UGLIEST redneck lady you've ever seen? (well maybe not!)

Even the kids got in on the action!

But in the end... there can only be ONE winner.....and here she is:

REDNECK WEEKEND!

We had our first trip to Jellystone park early this year. We decided to try out REDNECK WEEKEND!
The weekend consisted of 2 days of Redneck Olympics (Pickled Egg eating contest, Bellyflop contest, best Farmers Tan contest, Worst Sunburn, etc) There was a site decorating contest (how Redneck can you make your campsite look?)and the grand finale...the Ms Jellystone competition....

Water Bugs

We spent most of the weekend at Jellystone in the pool and the water park. Kyle was trying to soothe his arm, where he had been attacked and stung by several wasps on Saturday morning. Makalei had gotten one sting on the top of her head and when Daddy tried to save the day and kill the offender..all his winged buddies attacked. Poor guy!

Wet and Wild Child

Makalei couldn't wait to hop on the new waterslides at Jellystone Park.
It was $12.00 for an all day pass for the 3 slides (though one was closed for repairs).
She managed to take about 10 trips before wounding herself and deciding that maybe dry land was the best place to be!

Four Months Old!!

Yep, Lilah is officially FOUR MONTHS OLD!! She had her Drs visit yesterday where she tipped the scales at 14 lbs, 6 ozs! She has a little problem with some ingrown nails on her big toes (her "meaty" toes as the Dr. put it) so we are keeping an eye on that but otherwise she is just plain PERFECT (well we knew that already!) She went on her first camping trip this weekend to Yogi Bears Jellystone Park in Tabor City NC. She did great! Such a little trooper! Sissy is home from camp now until school starts on the 25th so it will be interesting to see how Mommy does with BOTH girls home all day!
